BIPOC Writers: Rejected Work Open Mic
Sunday, March 30th, 4:00-5pm (EST)
Free Event!
Have a creative piece turned by publication or agent and never opened it up again? We are so helplessly terribly curious about what’s buried in the bottom of your closet. Please allow your rejected pieces to have its 3-min stage (poetry, prose, screen/stage play, essay, memoir, spliced writing, grant app, artist statement…). PLEASE ALLOW US TO HEAR YOU!
ABOUT SHAOXUAN
Shaoxuan Tian is an emerging writer who wanders between fictional prose and poetry as well as critical essays. In her former lives, she primarily worked as a social worker, teacher, and researcher in the social sciences; and working with people—careful listening, nonjudgmental observing, and speaking in tongues—has always been and will always be a major source of her creative inspirations and motivations. She loves cats, mountains, and early mornings.
