‘Lux Solem’ is Latin for “the light of the sun”. Join award-winning author Fernando Rover Jr. for a 90 minute virtual reflective writing circle to honor the Summer Solstice – a time of abundance, illumination, and celebrating the light within. Using the symbolisms of summer and solstice – where the Sun is at its highest peak–  attendees will be guided through evocative guided exercises encouraging them to explore the awakening of self. 

Whether you’re seeking to reconnect with your personal journey, uncover new insights, or simply enjoy the meditative process of writing, this class offers a peaceful and creative space to reflect on the season’s themes. Join for a nurturing and inspiring session of introspective writing as we celebrate the arrival of summer together.

ABOUT FERNANDO

Fernando Rover Jr. is a San Antonio based author and artist whose work comprises of elements of prose, poetry, photography, film, and performance art. He holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in English and history from Texas Lutheran University and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Prescott College. Through his imprint Frame Reference Media, his work focuses on queer Black male experiences, mental health, social consciousness, and impact-based art.

He is the author of three poetry collections: ‘Labyrinth’ (2019) ‘Sanctuary’: A ‘Labyrinth’ Redux (2020), and ‘Maverick’ (2022).His work has appeared in numerous publications and anthologies, including Odyssey Online, Caged Bird, Black Press USA, and the San Antonio Observer.
