The World We Used to Live In
Communal Book Reflection Space
Thursday, October 2nd @ 6:30 p.m. (EST)
Free Event!

In this book reading space, we will read select stories from The World We Used to Live In, written by Native American writer Vine Deloria, Jr. (Standing Rock Lakota). This book is meant to be a passport or offering to us in these times as a way to “draw strength from the old ways.” Let’s explore the medicine that these stories can offer us, wisdom that we can lean into during this time in which we currently live.
All readings will be provided so that all can participate. Each session will be a new story to read and discuss. We will also have dedicated 20-30 minute quiet reflective writing. If you are a writer, this can be an inspiration to generate new writing. Ultimately, this is a space to share as a community of creative shelter.
This will be the first session and the goal is to meet at least once a month. We’ll decide the next dates at our first gathering. Sessions will not be recorded. Cameras on during discussion.
